Who does 3D printing on TBH?

I have a small project of just two items I would like to have made and am curious what information is needed. What is the turnaround time for a block that is 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 3 7/8" ? Are there different types of media that produces a more wear resistant surface? Are there colors available? I really know nothing in general and even less about 3D printing.

I would like to use someone off of TBH if possible.

Some nubbin just posted on the DIY forum, suspect he is planning to sell his services based on how I read his post.

Bet he could give you an idea

Does a new guy get PM's right away or do they have to post for a while?

Yep it seems more and more members post diy projects to sell their goods. To me it’s not what diy us about but it is what it is.

I am going to look at one this evening. May purchase based on print video they send.

Is it just a protocol or an actual functioning thing? There are a number of different types of plastics to use. Most are not food grade. They do not seal well either. In other words you'd need to add a coat of resin if you need them to be water resistant or food grade. You just aren't going to get a good seal on 3D printed things even with 100% infill which is a lot of material.

There are many colors you can print with, but most people just sand and paint to their desired colors.

There are also different methods of printing that require different types of 3D printers. I have used a professional company to do some printing for me and they do an amazing job and insanely reasonable prices. forecast3d.com

They have all the various types of 3d printing and they can do post print painting for you. They can also tell you if what you are trying to do with 3D printing is viable.

Not everything is right for 3D printing which not everyone is aware of.
