Tree Removal Recommendation in DFW

Can some of y'all give me a ballpark figure for a large elm tree with some over the top of my house and right next to my driveway and front walkway.. It's way too big for me to tackle or I'd just have a buddy grab a rope and give it hell... Will need stump grinding as well. I'm going to ask for quotes but wanted to know what to expect and not get ripped off. Don't want any sticket shock.

I can't remember exactly but I think it was ~$1000-$1500 for Alvarado to trim 20-30 really large post oaks and take down a dead post oak that had a three foot trunk, grind the stump and haul everything away. I'm not afraid of work but just taking care of the dead post oak was worth more than what I spent.

It took 2 days for 4 or 5 guys to get it down and ground up. Think I paid 3K

It was 15ish foot around at the base..............
