need a cellular game camera the last one got stolen
So I am supper annoyed that someone stole my trail camera from the center of my property... I didn't figure I needed it in a lock box but I guess I did. I was looking at this one as an option.
The LINK-MICRO-LTE from SPYPOINT pairs the most popular cellular trail camera in years with the ultra-reliable LTE cellular network. The LINK-MICRO-LTE continues to challenge traditional expectations of performance and value the hunter can expect from a camera.
Buddy of mine has one, he has had several issues. He had the 12 volt battery box set up to go with it, we discovered this weekend that the battery box has a little circuit board in it that went bad about 3 weeks after he bought it, it would slowly drain the battery and the low voltage would cause the camera to act up to the point it would stop working. However we bypassed the circuit board this weekend and all seems to be working well as of now. He has also had spy point send him several updates for the camera to try and solve various small issues that are more irritating than anything. So with all that being said, 4 months ago I would have said don't do it, but now I think they may be on top of their technical issues and with the discovery/ bypass of the bad circuit board I think it may turn out to be a decent little camera.
The only issues I have with it are......
1. you can not request a photo
2. sometimes there is a substantial lag ( 15 to 20 minutes ) between the time it takes a pic and the time the pic is sent to you.
3. If you buy a second one, you have to buy a second plan at full cost, no discount for multiple cameras.
Link Micro is good. I use them along with Covert Blackhawks. Coverts are my Favorite with the option of immediate pics and I can take pics whenever I send command to do so. I have had to place mine 10-15’ up a tree angled down now due to theft recently. Reported and just been waiting for them to be activated again. Been 3 months and nothing.
For the price you can’t beat the SpyPoint Link Micro. Search on EBay or your local Facebook Marketplace. They can be found for $50-$80 new
I’m selling my covert Blackhawk lte if you’re interested. $300 shipped TYD. That includes a camera thats about 10 months old, the solar panel, booster antenna, as well as 12 AA enloop pro batteries.

If it’s NOT 3G and it is Verizon I will take it if the original poster does not want it.
The 3G’s are phased out. Not interested in those.
I am currently running 8 SPARTAN cell cameras. Have not had any issues with them. I do use the Spartan external battery box and solar panel with them. I buy them from Herd360.
