We’ve had our set for about 15 years. We’ve had them sharpened twice; once at home and one at a local Cutco dealer. Neither of those sharpening were as good as the factory sharpening. We are considering sending ours back to the factory for sharpening to see if it’s any better.

I agree. When the guy came out to the house for sharpening, he was more interested in getting us to buy more Cutco products than he was in sharpening our knives. When he left they were sharper than they were before he got there, but factory sharpening makes them as good as new.
Have the double edge on my orange handled hunter......have cleaned double digit deer and it’s still extremely razor sharp. Seems like it would go through another 20 easy. Only knife I’ve ever used that doesn’t require sharpening between animals to be as effective on the 2nd or 3rd as it was on the 1st.
