To the OP, just get a roll of 12/2 UF and slide some 1” conduit over it. Way easier.

Heck no. I can’t imagine how many (probably) millions of feet of wire I’ve pulled and that has NEVER been the easy way.

If it was that would be the industry standard.

Studied and lost a few more hairs on my head. Electronic signals vs power supplied brings huge arenas and arguments on line. In summary maybe solid is the better for basic power delivery. Pulling in conduit obvious is a no go. Movement is a no go. Stranded when needed. Solid when it works! All which goes against my original comment. I need a cold one.

Run at least a 3/4 if not a 1 inch conduit. Putting the wire in as you run the pipe is 100% the wrong way. If you get pvc glue on the wire it will melt the insulation. I always laugh when people say this.

Maybe so, but I've done 10000 of feet of wire that way over the last 20 yrs or so.
            Never had an issue.
Also pulled alot of wire through existing conduit, on tower locations, commercial buildings, etc..
I'll choose my way all day everyday over your way.
3 nasty guys, all elbow to azzhole, pulling on some strap ain't my cup of tea.
Only time I'm pulling it if I have a choice, is if we're laying some 14/2 in 8" conduit .
I can get down with that.
Countless times I've been on jobs and had to go help someone pull for all your worth, trying to get a new wire through.
            It simply sucks.

Tell'em Mike. A vacuum, plastic bag and some dragline is all you need.
Well, maybe a pulley, a good rope and some soap.
Sliding the pipe over the wire is THE hard way. It may seem like it is easy only because you have not been exposed to proper wire pulling procedures.

You sound like one of the low volt homos (14/2 in 8” conduit). [emoji23]

This will blow your socks off, they have wire these days that you don’t even have to use soap to pull.

                Crazy I tell ya.

I don’t glue the joints. If I’m running wire that means I don’t have power so I can’t run a vacuum. Bigger PVC is more expensive. It’s 100ft, sliding the conduit isn’t that hard....10 - 10ft joints. This is farm work with no help that I am talking about.
