    Kawasaki Mule Pro Oil Level

I just bought a 2020 Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT, took it for a spin around the neighborhood and when parked in garage I could smell something I think is off.
I checked the oil "reservoir" on the top of the engine and it is empty, but when I check the dip stick there is oil and it shows it at a good level.

I can text a picture or 2 if someone knows something about these machines.

    Thanks in advance.

I test drive a new one last week. There was a technician with me and I could see smoke and a terrible smell coming from behind the back seat. He told me it the overspray paint that gets in the muffler and does it with all new ones. Don’t know if that what your smelling but possible ....

      What reservoir ?
Is probably paint burning. Mine smelt strange for a while.

Will only be a dip stick for oil pan.

Mine smelt like burnt paint or plastic for awhile after I'd drive it. Nothing was ever found wrong and went away now.

I think he is talking about the oil refill cap on the valve cover, maybe that is why he is calling it a reservoir.

Like everyone else has stated, the new engine has paint and oil residue on it from the factory that is heating up and burning off.

The fill area on top of the motor won’t show oil, if the dip stick has oil let it rip!

I know that and you know that, but I reckon someone else did not.

If there is any place on the internet to trust, this is the one.
I am just going to drive it until the smell goes away or the SOB needs a new engine, which ever comes first.

                    Thank you guys.

Mine smelt bad at first as well. Not sure exactly how long it lasted, just realized one day it didn’t have the burnt smell.
