I love that rifle. It's by far the prettiest one I have. I bought it back in the late 1990's when everyone else on my Van Horn lease was shooting 7 mags and I felt undergunned with my .270. I held a used one in 22-250 in a Waco gun shop and I just had to have one. I have a Leupold VX-3 2.5-10X 40 on it in Conetrol mounts. I made my longest ever shot on a west Texas muley with it at 603 yards and the 160 Speer Grand Slam. Unluckiest deer on the entire ranch! LOL! She's been a safe queen for a number of years, but I just recently had a trigger job done on her and felt like I needed the extra punch. I would have taken the 7 SAUM, but it's not sighted in so the old 1885 got the call.

Now, if I could just fond one in 6.5 X 55!!!!!
