Never realized how hard it is to find a good lease. Most internet sites are less than helpful to say the least. How did you all find the lease you are on?

I have a spreadsheet with leases collected off craigslist, chronicle, southeast texas, chamber of commerce websites. They are out of my budget and I cannot afford them personally but if somebody is interested pm me i dont mind helping a tbh'er. Again i dont have anything to do with these leases.

I have tried the CofC deal and it is okay but usually the pickins are slim for a decent place.
Try contacting the local agricultural extension agent. They know everybody. Offer to donate a little $ to his favorite charity such as 4H or FFA or something for helping.
Also local feed stores are a good place to either leave a flyer or ask the employees.
Another small town place to ask is the local bank. Got to do this during the week but the bankers in a small town know everyone as well as the local sheriff's do.
Today the best place is the internet. Hard to just get in the truck and drive around blind in deer country.
TBH seems to be a great place to advertise a lease or the fact that you are looking.
I found my current lease (just finished my 8th year on it) on a website called deertexas.com or something like that. It has been a while.
You have to pay to join and see the available leases but people trying to lease there property advertise for free.
Me and a hunting buddy went in halfzies on a log-in and shared the pass word. That way either of us could check on new listings.
I am possibly going to pick up another pasture on our current ranch and would not hesitate to try and recruit some new campfire buds here.

I wonder if the mods would put up a sticky for the hunters who needs a lease. Everyone could put down what they are looking for in a lease. For the people that find a lease but need a couple of hunters. It could be easier to match up some of us that are looking for a certain type of hunter or what they are looking for.
