    Turkeys and feed pens?

Will they usually hop a fence to get to a feeder or turn around and walk off? Screwy animals so didn't know.

    Ours rarely jump in it

But I’ve seen plenty do it without issue. They usually won’t have a problem with a large pen.

Ours jump in daily... but we have big pens. Before this season’s low numbers it was nothing to have 10-20 hens and a couple gobblers strutting in the pens..

Since we put up pens, I haven’t had a single bird get in them. Only 28-30” high, but they won’t go in at all. Pens aren’t huge, but definitely aren’t small either.

Not only do they get in to our feed pens which are roughly 60’ diameter cattle panels they get into our big pig traps and trip them. Over and over to where I quit setting them at times.

We didn’t have any turkeys in my hog panel circle pens of 8 panels for years.
But when I made the pens bigger now I see turkeys in them.
I think the round shaped helped

We feed a little corn all year long in the offseason with our protein but we kick the corn up in early March thru turkey season to keep the hens on our property. Keep the girlfriends around and the boyfriends come/stay around too.... I don't hunt on the feeder though......

We mix in a bag or two of maize in the spring for our turkeys. They get in our pens no issue.
You can run a 2x4 catty corner in you pen and they will fly up and land on it then drop down
                        If your pen is small
