    Austin Thermals

Anyone know of anywhere in the Austin area where I could rent (business or individual) a thermal for the weekend? Scope preferred but a monocular would be okay too. I have my own but my cousin is going with me today and it’s just hard to do with one scope between two guys.

Heading that way midday, coming from Houston.

    Thanks.

This guy has a pick up spot in Houston.

Night vision and thermal imaging devices and accessories in stock for sale or rent.

Has anybody used this company before? What would be a good scope to rent for an AR SBR 300BLK?

Depends. I’d say that Pulsar XP38 is the best fit for that rifle, due to the low base mag and still great clarity. The problem is it’s a $4k thermal, and I’d rather spend the same amount of money to rent the Halo LR which has arguably the cleanest image of the current options. The problem is the high native magnification of the Halo LR isn’t exactly ideal for your application. The Trijicon REAP IR would be an excellent choose as well, with great image and a mid range base magnification. It’s a few dollars more for rental though.
