I’m a Texan fan. I’m indifferent on BOB. Not mad about the d hop trade but I am mad about the value we got back. They were in a tough spot, Hopkins wanted 20 million a year with 3 years left on his contract. That took the first round pick out of contention that Philly offered. While I’m still not happy about all the moves I’m looking at the positives; the offense is now built scheme wise perfect for what the Texans want to do. Cooks/Stills/Fuller get vertical. Allows Cobb, TE’s and our two pass catching backs to eat yac underneath. Whether some people realized it or not D hop was Watson’s safety blanket and would lock in on him too many times. Totally disregarding his reads or open check downs. Hop was a becoming more of a possession receiver with less separation. It with some exterior forces all led to the move.

On paper they have built an impressive array of talent. We will see if it works out. The NFL is slowly leading to less value with draft picks and more value to proven players. Especially players who may not have been great fits scheme or personnel wise with other teams but fit well with what your team does.
