    Pet safe fire ant killer?

Anybody have recommendations for pet safe fire ant killer?

The stuff I've been using for 20 years is no longer approved for use according to the boss.

Got a couple pups that need to be protected. Thanks in advance!

Vinegar down the middle of the pile. Or sevin dust

        Diatomaceous earth works really well.
Dawn, and orange oil is death on fire ants.

I use Bifen IT at 1oz per gal. Use pump
Sprayer and I adjust nozzle so it’s a fairly steady stream coming out and spray top of mound for about 10-15 secs. Next day that mound will be dead. Works great

Crawfish boil water, it'll kill the grass to and pets won't try it but once.

Extinguish bait is livestock safe. NOT extinguish plus as it has the same chemicals as Amdro.

My dog rolled around in the Spectea ant killer the other day right after I put it out

                  They don’t make any sense

Shoot we used to sprinkle a ring of sevin dust around the dogs food bowl at the ranch. Ol' Buster hasn't grown any extra appendages yet.

If you have some handy as most do, I'd give it a shot. Moisten ground, sprinkle, and avoid watering a couple days. May not be as effective as others but certainly pet/child safe.
