I know a great little resort in New Braunfels on the Guadalupe. I can get you a free weekend in one of their nice cabins, but you have to listen to a sales pitch. It's called the Summitt. PM me if your interested.

Austin is a pretty cool town. I take it that is where you live.

          Not sure of your age.

There should be some nice bars that yall could go to.....not neccessarily to drink, but to watch a live band. Take her out for a nice dinner, or maybe even find a nice Bed & Breakfast.

            On her birthday.................................

Google <bed and breakfast austin texas>, make reservations, be sure they have flowers in the room (ftd.com and have them shipped to the B&B), if she's a wine drinker wine, if not her favorite beverage in the room ahead of time, and tell her you want to take her somewhere and make it a surprise. With woman, 99% is sizzle and 1% is steak. Just don't get Floyd tix

Drive through the Hill Country (Ranch Road 12/32) with a nice dinner. Hit the dam at Canyon Lake to watch the sunset.

Breezy had a pretty good idea with the dried deer scrotum ring holder, but for some reason his bride didn't like it so much.

                    That's all I got!

OH, BTW, my 10th aniversary is coming up in about 11 days so I'll be watching this tread like a hawk!

Bottle of Jose Cuervo and you will see stuff you have never seen before for about $25.00.

Not sure what your budget is, but my wife and I went to this cabin and it was GREAT! The cabin itself was THE best I've ever been to. Get the one with the big tub.

Welcome to Goose's Roost Bed & Breakfast located on 236 acres in the beautiful Flatonia countryside! Goose's Roost is the main house for meals and relaxation. Gander's Down is a cottage nearby that sleeps 2 or 3, and Goslings Nest is a secluded camp house that can sleep 5. All overlook the scenic countryside.

Its cheap, in the middle of acreage, close to cute towns, good food.......the rest, you will have to provide!

On our last anniversary, I had someone come pick up the kids for the night, Set the table outside under our patio with fresh cut flowers, cooked up some awesome steaks and lobster tails, assorted sides etc, wine, sparkling wine and dessert and stayed home. (I do most of the cooking around here anyway) Bottom line, it was nice to be at home, no kids (don't know if that fits your family) Did not have to spend a lot of money and she felt totally pampered and told all her friends about it. We had promised not to spend money on each other because we had just put in a pool and landscaping and we were taped out.
