    Spartan Go Cam (original) vs Spartan Ghost Cameras

    I have been looking all over the interwebs and for the life of me, I cannot tell the difference between the original Spartan cam and the newer Spartan Ghost camera, other than the price.

    Does anyone have any intel? Specs all appear to be the same and I can't seem to get the "compare" function on Spartan's websight to work.

    This will be my first cell cam, I'm the last on the lease to get one, and Spartan seems to work the best for our area.

    Did the originals have the self contained battery system? with a solar panel it keeps the camera on longer with regular AA batteries then my Coverts do with rechargeable batteries and solar panel.

      I bought 2 of the Go Cam's last year to save some money over the new Ghost cams that had just came out and they performed flawlessly for me all year long. I dont really know what the difference is either between them but the original Go Cam worked just fine for me.

        Yes the originals have the self contained AA battery system, can be hooked up to a larger 12 volt, and solar. Looks to be the same as the Ghost.

          My Dad has the original and doesn't have any problems. The local outdoor store has them for $50 difference. I may just call him after work.

          Just wondering if there is enough of a difference to one up Pops.

            IMO doesnt matter how small the difference. if you can one up the old man always one up the old man!!!

              That is my thoughts 90% of the time as well. A little tight on money right now though, so wanted to weigh my options first.
