Best dealership for a Ram 2500???

I’m sure different people are going to have different opinions, but looking to hear about some good experiences at a Dodge dealership. I’m looking to get in to a 2500. Thanks in advance.

Also i guess I should say in the DFW area.

Blue Bonnet Dodge in San Antonio had a deal posted online that made it worth the drive $6000 cheaper than what I was being offered at Roger Williams in Weatherford. I gave Randall Noe a chance to match the deal and they did on a short bed instead of a long bed on the Blue Bonnet ad.

Platinum dodge bought out Randall Noe so not sure if similar deals are still available. It is the most low frills high volume dealership around.

Search Dallas Dodge for a fun thread.

Moritz has some members from here/TFF. Meador also had a few online deals posted that seemed decent.

It may be a little far for you but I have bought multiple vehicles from Elder Dodge in Athens. They will try to beat any other "deal" you find.

Spend 45min on the internet and get the email address for the Fleet/internet sales manager for every dealership within the radius you are willing to drive. Find the truck you want online or at a local dealership and write down the VIN. Send a group email to every one of them and tell them you are buying a truck NOW and whoever has the best price on a truck that is equipped like VIN # *** you will buy now. Tell them you don’t want any extras, service plans, extended warranty and if they mention any of that you are leaving immediately. When you reply to the sales guys always REPLY ALL so all the sales guys from every dealership gets it.

I’m assuming you are paying cash or have good credit thru your bank/credit union. This plan doesn’t work if you have to rely on the dealership to find a bank that will buy your loan. You are at there mercy if you have to do that.

When the deal is right about to be done ask if they offer a better interest rate than your bank/credit union. You have already negotiated the price. You are just negotiating the financing then.

Download an app on your phone where you enter principal balance, rate, and term. Math doesn’t lie. Enter the price of the amount financed, the loan term, and the rate. If their finance offer doesn’t match tell them to pound sand.

The important thing to remember is you are never going to beat a car dealer. They do it every day and people want to talk about so much over invoice price Guess what, there is no invoice price. It all depends on current hold backs, back ends, and whatever floor plan the dealer has. If the dealership let’s you leave and doesn’t call you back within 2 days your offer is too low.

I made the mistake of looking at 2500 mega cabs today.

Sounds like I just need to take you with me. Good advice for sure.

I was trying to take advantage of the 0% for 84 and trying not to take a hammer to the face on the sales price if that’s possible.

I agree it’s hard to beat a dealership, especially when I don’t buy a whole lot to have the process down real good.

                          The above is great advice.

Cummins and Ram forums are out there too for additional research.

The parts of our country that are hardest hit in this pandemic/economic crisis will give you the best deal. I’d bet you can get a truck $5000 cheaper in Michigan or New York right now versus Texas. Plane tickets are cheap right now too.

Stay away from bluebonnet. They will add all these extra costs instead of the ad price.
