Millipede or centipede ofsome sort. Several of them can give a painful bite/sting

We used to catch them in Jack County back in the 90s. Jokers were 10”-12” long and fast. I was more afraid of them then snakes.

No kidding. I had a small one latch onto me many years ago, I could not sling that **** thing off. Long before I saw those big green ones. Every time I have seen those big green centipedes, my first thought is, there is no way I am letting that thing get hold of me.

                  Burn it!
Wasted 5 shots out of a .38 on a big green one several years ago.

Not a bug. It is Scolopendra heros. It is a young one. They can get up to 10” and the front legs are modified to act as fangs. They legit hurt!
