    Do you guys think this setup would work on a 18ft Kenner

    If it were me, I would go with a trolling motor that had a standard deplorable bow mount. The one you show in the link looks like a stern clamp on. Just saying I fish from the front of most boats.

      Just looked at enlarged image and I guess the motor is manually lifted straight up and lowered straight down. I still think you would be better off with standard bow mount system and money is probably similar.

            I will have one in a few weeks for sell. 80lb 24volt minnkota maxxum. Coming off a xpress 20ft center console. Its 2 years old.

                        I had a 21' kenner in the 90s and had a 12v 50# thrust and it was plenty to get around. If you don't plan to speed troll all day 12v should be plenty for an 18'.

                        Also, don't get a foot controlled one for saltwater. It will last a year max.

                            I have two Minn Kota 80 lb foot control that I'd make a great deal on. I would go with a foot over a hand every day of the week imo.
