Inherited a 4x8 "the blynd". Looking to put it on a tower on a west facing hill top that would catch thunderstorm wind. Either a 5' or 10' tower. Will it stay in place if I do my part with good anchors? Is the 10" tower solid?

My experience. This one was located in Menard and prone to very high winds. It was anchored to the sides, but needed a ground anchor directly below the stand as well. However, I could see high wind shearing the stand off the tower as well.
Ours was a double wide a very much like a sail.

Anchor the pizzzz out of it and just not hunt IN IT during the potential winds. 😂😂 Those things are almost indestructible. I’ve seen em crushed and tore all to hell and thought they were beyond repair. Leave them out in the hot sun and they will almost pop themselves back into original shape. As long as the floor is repairable...you’re golden IMO.

I have had a 4 x 8 on a 10' tower on a small hilltop in Coleman county for 6 yrs before I left and a 4 x 4 on a 15' in wide open area. I put T post down at each corner at an outward angle and 2 Tposts criss-crossing each other under center of tower frames. Tied each corner to frame and upper corners were tied off together and a come -along pulled down to center. Used barbless fence wire. Neither blind went down. I did lose windows until I tied them together or removed them and placed in full length plastic I cut. Nice blinds but door doesn't seal well enough to keep wasps out. Gotta always remember to kill them

8’ or 10’, it was second hand. And I never measure it.
