    Coral snake?

    South Texas. Has the red and yellow, but not the distinctive wide yellow pattern I’ve seen on coral snakes.

            I've never seen one that big. The record is 41". Most of them that I find are around 2 to 2 1/2 feet long.

            That ones ruint. He's missing a few inches.

              Thanks guys. Yep it’s a longnose. Surprised no sites I could find listed the longnose snake as one that’s similar to a coral snake in appearance.
