I'm not sure what my favorite is. I have a Warthog, a Worksharp, paper and grit wheels and numerous stones. I use them all at one time or another depending on which knife I'm sharpening. I have recently become intrigued by the Wicked Edge line of sharpeners - they get really great reviews. I would have one of those too if they weren't so expensive
Worksharp Ken Onion Edition is what I have used for a number of years and really like it. In fact, I just sharpened all of my wife's kitchen knives yesterday afternoon.

Some purists will disagree and want you to spend hours on a wetstone or some other labor intensive activity. If I had a museum piece I needed an edge on I would agree with them, but I don’t,so I won’t.
