    Balancing A Traverse

I have a new to me Traverse headed my way. I’ll have a Fast Eddie XL, QAD, and Mathews quiver on it. What setup are you guys liking on this rig to balance out a hunting bow?

12” front bar with 3-4 oz and 10” back bar with 8-12 oz will generally balance any hunting bow

Have any issues with the 12” bar in a ground blind?

I did similar with mine but I’m using a 10” (8” plus 2” quick connect) front bar and 6” back bar. My weights are a tad lighter as well but proportionate. I hunt exclusively out of box blinds or pop ups and wanted it a little more compact.

I ran a 15” front bar with 3oz and an 8” back bar with 5oz. No problems out of ground blind or climbing stand

What weights front and back for you?

Ironically, I am running right between Smart and JT with an 11" front bar. I also have a 6" back bar but sometimes I get annoyed with it and don't put it on. And I know better... I shoot in the Women's Pro class all over the country, in 3D, field and indoor!

Typically every backbar setup I've ran balanced with roughly a 1:3 ratio.

I settled on 2oz. In front 6oz on back with usually 10/8 bar setup

                      I think I’m at 2 and 6.... may be 3 and 6. I’ll have to look. I’ve slept since then [emoji23]

I think I am at 2 and 6 also. You have to start here and then play with removing and adding until the bow responds to you the way you like. I like mine to fall straight forward and while I am holding it, I don't want to struggle to keep the bubble level. The back bar counter-balances the sight. If you don't have a lot of weights, the other option is to move the bar further away from the bow.
