Making hard tack?

Has anybody used or made hard tack as a pack meal while out at camp? What seasoning did you use besides the basic flour , salt and water?

You have to be some kind of desperate to eat that, much less make it, lol. There's a 100 better options nowadays

I made some a few times in jr high and high school just because as a easy food for hiking/hunting. Can’t say that I’d do it again, but it is a interesting thought.

Just flour salt water.

Kinda fun to eat for a little while but no way I’d plan on making that a staple.
