Most relaxed I’ve been in weeks

Sipping coffee on the front porch at the ranch-45 degrees no wind. Listening to gobblers sound off in the creek bottom- watching deer at the protein through the binos- just heard a pig fight. We sat around the fire till midnight watching the stars. Today’s my sons 27th birthday- he’s still sleeping like young folks do. We’ll drive back home to the stress and chaos this afternoon but 36 hours in the country has done a world of good. Blessed!

Man that was relaxing just reading about it. Thanks for sharing! Too often we get caught up, and miss the little things in life.

        Sounds great !!!

43 here in Iowa. 56 for a high today.

Drinking coffee and listening to gobblers here too.

We have not seen a soul here in two weeks. Farmer passes by on his tractor daily and waves, mail lady passes by, but no face to face contact with anyone.

You better pinch yourself to make sure you are still alive. Sounds like you are in heaven to me. Congrats on getting away from all the craziness even for a short while.

I am self quarantining myself at the ranch too. Very quiet and peaceful here, getting things done on my barndo. Still have 26 more days of confinement.

Lease/Ranch trips with good friends and family are the best medicine money can buy.

Jerp, you in Aledo? Pigs? Yikes, just a matter of time before they work their way down the Trinity and take over the Benbrook Lake area.

Oh, I re-read your post, and see that you're at the ranch. Sounds very pleasant!
