                  Well first ditch the knife and get a handful of something better, then drag your dog away while facing the threat. If it escalates past that then make your best judgement, but be ready to back it up twice. My opinion is if he is swinging a gun around and running his mouth he is not a real threat, he just likes to run his mouth. But .......

                          This! If he ain't used it yet he probably won't. If you have practiced with your gun & he is waving his around, you should be able to get the drop on him, IF you have to. Best thing at the moment would be to back out & take care of business when he ain't ready!
