    Junebugs in March????

Was sitting outside this eve on my porch an counted 16 junebugs. Cant remember seeing them this early. Anyone else notice this? I'm sure there's a old saying out there somewhere about this.

I just got home from work and my wife left the shop lights on last night and there are junebugs everywhere. My chickens will be happy to clean them up tomorrow when the kids let them out. Seems pretty early to have them flying around already.

Another old saying is, “I thought they weren’t supposed to be here until June?”

They start in February here if the winter is mild.

Junebugs are never here in "June". They are always here in March. Grub worms in the soil are the larvae stage of June Bugs.

Its unreal, wife and I were sitting out by the fire pit night before last and hundreds of june bugs were flying into the fire pit. Went outside yesterday morning and the whole fire pit is covered in charred june bugs. Crazy...

I sprayed my young oak trees yesterday to knock out the worms that where already trying to destroy the new growth. Stinking boogers stripped one of them last year and it has taken until this year to fill back in.

I have been on hot standby waiting on them!!

No Junebugs for me yet but the Mayflies are everywhere by the zillions. Can't open a door without more of them coming in the house.

My dad collects them off the porch every morning and uses them for bait. He likes to catch perch to pass the time and the occasional catfish

We had them down here on the coast since middle February.
