    Diagnostic code help.

Does anyone know what these diagnostic codes are? One of you kids is having issues with his car.

    P0440 and P0442 !

Evap system code, could be just a bad gas cap, or a line has come loose from the evap system.

I don't remember the exact number but looks really close to the code i had on my 14 chevy. Drove with it for a while before changing the evap solenoid. Most often its a loose gas cap. On chevy of that year at least.

It's a 2002 Camry. Was told it could be carbon, EGR system? "Exhaust gas recirculation"

2002, most likely a leak somewhere. Could get lucky and just be a gas cap but will probably need a mechanic to smoke it to locate the leak. Shouldn’t be a big fix but you could spend a lot of time trying to locate it piece by piece connection by connection. Love me some epa.

My wife’s 4Runner has done that. Change the gas cap first, it’s a cheap fix to check first

I've had 3 gas caps on mine. Fixed it everytime.
