    Skunk under house

I’ve got a skunk living under my camp house. It’s smelling up the house pretty bad. I set out a live trap baited with cat food and marshmallows. The marshmallow outside the trap are gone each morning but the bait inside the trap isn’t touched.
Any ideas on how to catch it?

I'm no trapper but if he eats the marshmallows, why not put marshmallows in the trap as well instead of the cat food?

I have marshmallows and cat food inside the trap. It’s not going in the trap.

He knows where the food is and will come for it, put mellow in trap, none outside

I have the same problem and I read that they like peanut butter so the next time I go up I’m going to bait it up and see what happens. Good luck

Put a can of two of mothballs under your cabin it will leave along with anything else that is under there when all is gone remove the cans and close up the bottom good and air out your cabin.

              I caught 7 in 10 days.
Find where they are getting under house.
Butt up a live trap to hole under house. Close off each side so they cant squeeze by.
Place a piece of bread with peanut butter on it in trap.
Tie a 30 foot rope to cage.
Check trap..when skunk inside drag away from house into pasture.
Blast skunk with shot gun... leave in trap...go empty it after work.
              Repeat!

Great plan! I do it similiarly but I rig the rope where I can drag the trap away from the house and then open the box trap and let the skunk out before I shoot it. Then I can reuse the trap sooner and don't have to tolerate a trap that has been sprayed.

Buy or borrow a Jack Russell Terrier and tomato juice. The dog is gonna need it after it beats that skunks a**!

Mix in golden marlin with you bait in the trap. Then you just dump a dead skunk instead of trying to not get sprayed by getting it out of the trap. May take some heat for this but that's what I've seen done by "someone"
