Years ago, my wife got bit and the snake died!

They didn't give her the anti-venom. When I ask the Dr about it, he said "That stuff will make you sick!".

That's not good hope she does not have any long term problems associated with the bite. My mother's aunt was bitten by a copperhead many years ago, I tried to find out where she got bit and what the bite amounted to, but I never got much of any info on the subject.

My wife was pulling weeds out of one of her flower bed, probably seven years ago. I was working in the yard, then she came flying out of the flower bed yelling I think it's a rattle, over and over. So went and looked to see what she was yelling about, sure enough there was a rattler coiled up tight, making himself almost flat. I popped him in the head, done deal. It was under a weed she pulled, scared the crap out of her. She had pulled most of the weeds in the flower bed, that was one of the very last weeds she pulled. So when she pulled it, then I went to see what she was yelling about, most all of the ground was bare and there was that rattler coiled. So she pulled weeds all around that snake before pulling the weed he was under. He found a nice place to sleep and did not want to be bothered.

I keep getting told where we are now, that there are a lot of copperheads around and they will get into potted plants and under plants, ECT. I have never seen copperheads till we bought this place, so far, I have found two. One typical young snake and one big copperhead. I keep trying to tell my wife to keep her eyes open and be careful where she puts her hands, most of what she does outside, is pull weeds. I try to keep my eyes open, when I am picking dewberries, which I will be doing in about six weeks.

Hope your daughter's bite does not amount to much and she is back to normal very soon.
