Can you walk in to Hagerman and hunt for morels?

I can't find anything online about this.
Working from home right now and going out around Rockwall in the afternoons with my daughter looking for our first morel mushroom. Was thinking about heading towards Texoma today to look.

You can walk around/scout Hagerman as long as its not during a hunt. You aren't supposed to remove anything, not sure if that would go for mushrooms, call the HQ and ask.

I went up there several years ago and picked up pecans with my family.

Pretty sure you are not supposed to take ANYTHING from the refuge except a deer, pig or turkey IF you have a permit to take one of those

They are up all over Oklahoma. I have not hit my Texas spot yet but they should be up

I've been hunting them for 35 years, always wanted to go to Hagerman and look, but thought it wasn't allowed. I don't know for sure. Call and ask.
Found 39 March 12, earliest we've ever found them. Found 135 today. Eatin em
tomorrow.
