    Gas stove top repair

Anyone here do work on gas stove tops?

My wife was cooking something and took the lid off. Condensation on the lid went down in the gas area. Loud pop and now the breaker throws. Evidently the water did something to the electric igniter. She can still cook but needs to use a lighter to light the gas. That's not the problem though. The breaker is the same one that is connected to the microwave. We've given it a few days but it instantly throws the breaker when turned back on and she said it pops inside the house as I turn breaker on. With kids out of school until at least April 6th, we need the microwave.

Anyone in the Round Rock / N. Austin area help me out?

As a stop gap measure...may want to get a counter top microwave and plug it in on another circuit.

Wonder if water is still in the igniter causing the breaker to trip instantly. May need a good cleaning/ high pressure air blowing.

You should be able to unplug the ignitor, if not just the one then there is a plug that supplies power to all of them. The ignitors are not needed on a stove top.

Yea we thought about the counter top microwave but figured just fix this if we can quickly. If not, we'll buy one to hold us over.
