You do realize states with heavy illegals in them get extra govt representation because of the census head count right? If I remember correctly California is expected to pick up 5 extra seats in the House after the 2020 census is complete. And you can bet the Dems controlling the state will redraw the map to make sure each of those extra 5 seats will go to a Dem candidate.

I wouldn’t spend much time trying to explain that to him because in his post he said “ you end up paying for the services they use”
He does not realize that gov. Money comes out of our pockets already

Mike D, I respect your opinion, but I don't agree with it. I did a quick search (albeit brief), and found a somewhat dated article that suggests CA may lose seats:

"California and Minnesota are borderline cases, with each facing the possibility of losing up to one seat." Full story here: https://www.brennancenter.org/our-wo...er-2020-census.

From my perspective, I'm more concerned with how the Census counts affect me at the state and local level, which I tried to exemplify through my example above....local resource allocation. The number of congressional seats allocated in CA, while not unimportant, is not as high a priority for me, personally.

Flywise, I'm pretty solid on how our system of taxation works. Maybe I should have communicated more clearly, and said "you end up paying more for the services they use." Thanks for the opportunity to clarify, amigo.

I actually want to apologize for my smart *** tone.
But, he is right (as I understand it) the more people counted the more seats an area gets. Not fair to allow a sanctuary area have more representation than a area with the same amount of actual citizens. If they want to spend the fed money allocated to them on non citizens then so be it but they should not get more money just because they have more residents

10 years ago, I didn't answer it...they called...wouldn't ell them personal info...they came to my door. I just old them 4 folks here.
                Go away

i got my new Census. I did it online. I answered truthfully...3 folks live here. PERIOD. If you hit "NEXT" several times they go to the next question. They don't need to know ANYTHING other than number of folks that live here. Got my confirmation number.

                I am done.
