We have smuggled in the sugar pot! Got across the Sabine River, contraband, embargo and alligators could not stop us[emoji12]. The brick mason sealed and painted the inside of the fountain after building a platform for the pot.....his job is done.[emoji106] Tomorrow hopefully drill a hole thru the pot and hopefully get this 800 pound beast in place. I ordered the pool equipment , water jets and lights from my pool guy.....dang stuff is over-priced I tell ya!!![emoji854] Click image for larger version

Oh, forget about the dang squirrel that thought the sugar pot was his personal swimming pool. Bayou did not appreciate that at all!!![emoji95][emoji33][emoji95]Click image for larger version

Looking good, I've been busy improving the home place also but not to that extent yet. If this lasts another month who knows what will happen.

So......I tipped the pot as Bayou was going crazy running around the pot. I just knew this was gonna be pure WOLF on elk calf action...……...nope! That little critter put a fake move on my dog that looked like Barry Sanders back in the day. Heck, I was embarrassed for him...…..LOL!

Glad you posted the pics of the dog n squirrel with the pot... I couldn't see in the original pic of the pot where the 800 pounds was coming from... A little perspective cleared that right up. That's a big ol' sugar pot!! Is it a real one from a mill?

There is a place in Opelousas making them since the demand is so high for them in Louisiana. They have 3 sizes. My grandparents were on a sugarcane plantation and had one this large size next to their well.....kinda a tribute.
