    Protein Feeder Height??

I did some research, it appears that the optimal height of the feeder tube should be around 40”?
Now, my question is what about the timed feeders that use a trough, I was at Free Flo this morning in Tilden and they sell a timed protein feeder with no trough, the protein just comes out on a small tray , it’s low to the ground around 24”, seems akward for a deer to feed out of?
    Thoughts?

Might want to post a picture of said feeder so we would have more info to determine. But 40" is correct height for feeding out of 4" round tubes.

Lamco's are lower than that if I am not mistaken..... and deer eat just fine. You just don't want it too high on a timed protein feeder.

There is a different optimum for free choice and timed protein feeders because of coons and such.
