I like fidelity better. Their research is awesome and their trade platform is easy. I have etrade through an employer account and it's not a big deal but I wouldn't choose it as my only platform.
Etrade is easy to set up. set up account- write check - take picture of check- wait for funds to clear- purchase as you please. I use it often for my (fun or Vegas) investments. I don't do my retirement through Etrade- pay folk to do that.
I use E*Trade for the market investing that I do myself. I use the app almost exclusively (not the website). Primarily just because I can place an order in literally no time and anywhere with facial recognition login and ease of use. Heck, I made a trade today while sitting at a lunch meeting. There may be an easier format but I thought E*Trade was pretty much idiot proof.
The only thing I don't like is the waiting period to have access to invest your funds until you verify your account.
Yep happened because they didn’t account for the extra leap year day lol just a one day shutdown
It was a multiple day shutdown. I quit using them for that reason. I’ve used them since 2017 and have had a few issues over the years and decided I didn’t want to risk it anymore. I moved all my money to a TD Ameritrade account. I think if your going to trade with more than a few thousand dollars your best bet is to use something other than Robinhood.
