Low salt brisket or rib rub recipe

Anyone have a good one to share? With me wfh in the very near future I see a lot of smoking meats in my future, but I need to cut back the sodium.

I like where your head is at. I just picked up some ribs and a pork butt for the same situation.

kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, dry mustard, ground ginger, chili powder, cayenne, oregano, basil, dried parsley. The first 4 ingredients use equal parts. Just eyeball in the rest till you have the right amount and the color looks right.

Just ease up on the salt. You will love it.

I'm a fan of several of the Fiesta brand spices. I feel like I've seen a "Salt-free brisket rub."

I did traeger prime rib rub, pepper, and a seasoning called white lightning on the last one I did and it wasn’t salty at all

The guy who runs amazingribs.com has a no salt rub that I like very much. Calls it Memphis Dust. You can salt your meat to your taste and then apply the rub.

Thanks y'all I'll try out a few of these. I usually do equal parts course kosher salt and course black pepper but as I said probably need to cut back on some salt.

Will check out the Memphis Dust recipe.

Thanks. After a quick search looks like Walmart may carry this. May have to try to find some tomorrow.

I do a 5:1:1 coarse black pepper, sea salt, cajun spice blend from winco on my brisket. They have a product called No Salt which is made from potassium that tastes like salt... Not course though. Maybe you experiment a bit?
