So the guy looked "dorky", the real question is did anyone bother him? That's the whole point right?

NO sir. I open carry sometimes, and it has nothing to do with making any statement. I open carry because some of my weapons aren't ideal stuffed inside my pants. I sometimes have to go to places I do not feel comfortable in, and feel that I might want more fire power than other times.

If you don't feel comfortable going somewhere, why go there? If it's your job, I understand, if not, don't. The best gun fight is the one that you don't get into. Plenty of people conceal 1911's and Glock 19's, so it can be done. I open carry on our ranch, and no other time. I'm not opposed to open carry, I just don't see the necessity.

If I’m ever in a place and a shooter comes in, I hope there’s one or two open carry guys in there. I will have time to draw my concealed weapon and make a good shot while the bad guy is shooting the open carry dorks first.

That's a pretty dork way of thinking right there.

                  Open Carry - Disaster Declaration

It's mind blowing to me that Texas is such a ^%&hole that the visual of a handgun will cause all kinds of issues that don't exist in other states where open carrying is a regular thing.

My EDC is a modded G-19, zero issues concealing it and I'm a small fella, zero need to open carry..

Agree, but if someone else wants to that’s none of my business. I say go for it.

Let me clarify.. my statement was I feel zero need to open carry. Anyone else that wants too, thats their choice.

Wonder why it would happen now but has never happened in the states that have been open carry for ever?
They got different kind of criminals out there?

Yes, during this time of crisis he should go enroll in an all-day training, drive to get fingerprinted, and submit an application and wait 90 days for his LTC.

                                You're a genius.
