Boaris said I missed !

Covert said pigs. I was too lazy at 1st but after about an hrs worth of pics I couldn't stand it.



So I jump outta bed, grab the .308, and head out the door.

I normally run my foodplot feeder (150 yds) but its empty. I have another feeder going beside my protein feeder but can't see it good from the house (too many trees in the way). And this feeder is about 240 yds.

I stumble over to the fence in the darkness and scan down there. Couple deer in the garden but can only catch glimpses of the pigs through trees.

Finally catch a biggun walking out in the far corner of my property. Boom! "Whollup" (I thought).

Boaris grunted and skeered the **** outta me. Didn't realize he'd snuck in for a front row seat, lol.

So I grab a jkt, cap, & pistola and head down there w Boaris in tow. He got a lil excited over the other pigs scent but never really got "piggy". He trailed to where they ran off the property but that was it.



Could've sworn I thumped a melon!

Might go look tomorrow, but Boaris thinks I missed !

Well, a quick search didn't turn up a hog. Boaris never acted like he smelt anything and we only made about 100 yd circle.

Sure sounded like contact and the last 2 I shot both made 100+ yards w no blood trail but recovered.

Oh well, there's always next time.

How does Boris great the family after the grocery trip? Has it changed as he has aged. I may be wrong but he is like the family pup.

Now anytime we pull up in her truck, we can barely get out w/o him crawling up in the truck.

Do you have any measurements on Boaris? Length, girth and weight? Might help some of these guys learn to accurately guess at the weight of the pigs they shoot lol
