You didn't stock pile when you had the chance?

Anyone who hasn’t prepared before now hasn’t been paying attention. Ammo has been cheap for a long time.

Now I can justify to my wife my stockpile of reloading supplies. I have enough supplies for 9mm, 38spl, 357mag, 45acp, 12ga, 223, 308 and 6.8spc to last a long azz time.

Went to Cabelas for wading boots today. There was a line of about 50 people waiting to by firearms. Some were older (like me) and should have enough on hand, without having to wait in line to pay list price for a weapon.

What is the point of all this? To shoot looters if they start trying to take what's yours? To sell when there's no more guns or ammo left to buy for two times more than what they're worth? I don't get it. If you're just now waiting to get a gun and a case of ammo you're way behind the rest of the world. I don't know if people think this will be an apocalyptic event where shooting looters is like an arcade game where they're just running up and down the street but somehow I highly doubt it. All I can picture is a bunch of doomsday prepper nerds getting their rocks off at the gun counter because they think their hard work building that underground bunker and stocking it full of toilet paper and canned goods finally paid off.

Well sorry dorks but you're gonna have to wait a little while longer before the zombies come for you. You're just being an inconvenience to the rest of us that actually go out and shoot regularly and eat real food instead of collecting MRE's. Go play some more Call Of Duty and let me know when you want to sell that rifle or 55 grain V-Max's for retail price.

I probably won’t need to use ammo for the first go.

I am actually glad to see people buying up guns and ammo. A "win win" for the manufacturers and dealers.

The down side for all of this is reloading components will get scarce.

Ammo hoarders are the same stupid people hoarding toilet paper.

I understand but imo the gun manufacturers and ammo folks are pumping the fear factor up to to make their share.

Not disputing what you’re saying but can you link an example of this?
