Who would y’all suggest? Somerville, Conroe, Livingston, Rayburn or somewhere else within a couple hours of Houston. I want to take my dad. We have zero crappie fishing here in Galveston county. I have my own boat and would like to learn a lake.

William Oliver is one of the best guides I know. He mostly fishes Palestine but he will do trips on Rayburn and surrounding lakes. He’s very reasonable and one of the nicest guys you’ll ever share a boat with.

Check out Michael Richardson - great guy.
We are a professional guide service based on the south side of Lake Livingston specializing in white bass, striper, and catfishing. We provide full service family friendly fishing adventures that can be totally customized to meet any skill set. Our fleet consists of a 2014 24' Blazer Bay and a 22' Triton Sea Flight boat that yield a very safe, dry, and comfortable ride. Both boats are equipped with the latest in Humminbird side imaging electronics and I Pilot trolling motor systems. Lake
He’s based in Livingston, but fishes Conroe also for crappie & hybrids.

Palestine would be the closest to you I could do. That said I have several people from Houston who come fish with me there. I only book one trip a day so we could meet later in the morning and get you headed home before it gets too late. Rayburn is a good lake as suggested but that's a long haul for me! I don't think you would like my Rayburn rate much!
