    Need advice Dodge Diesel engine

I recently acquired a Dodge 6.7 engine that needs a main bearing. I don’t own a Dodge and wanted to know if this engine is worth anything other than a trip to the scrap yard. I know it has a wire harness on it and has been kept in a crate. I don’t know the miles on engine but can find out. Any information will be appreciated.

Is it a complete motor or stripped?

Do you have the pcm too? It’s only worth something if you have something you want to convert. It will be a hassle and will only start after spending about 3500 and rebuilding the unit. I’m sure you could sell it to someone 500-800 depending on who wants it. I sold an old 12valve with bad cylinder 750

It could be worth a few hundred bucks, or part it out, head, injectors, etc. I’d list it on marketplace or craigslist and see what happens, there are several shops that buy and rebuild them or build them for race/drag trucks.

Ok, thanks I might try that. At least now I know it’s worth more than scrap.
