It's expensive no matter who you book with. I have been hunting out there for the past few years. Great place to go kill big mule deer but it's almost all private land that is locked up by outfitters. Contact Mark at Full.Time.Hunts. That is who I use for everything and he is the one who hooked me up in Eastern Colorado.
As a word of caution, average deer on the Eastern Plains with a good outfitter will be in the high 170's to low 180's. You will see pictures of monsters that they have killed. Those deer are definitely there. But the average deer killed with the top end outfitters is right around 180.
With that said, I've killed a 204" and a 197" over the past two years. I'm not going back in 2020 due to timing conflicts with my British Columbia hunt. If I was, I'd go knowing that the odds are that I will be going home with a 180 class buck.
I plan on being back in Eastern Colorado chasing mule deer again in the fall of 2021.
