We feed Double Down and cottonseed on our place in Zapata. Our deer eat it better than any other protien we have tried. We get it in Freer or Victoria for around 13.75 a bag

I need a protein that the deer don't eat that much. They will eat you out of house and home. I posted a sign on my feeders. I will not be back for 30 days eat appropriately. I have a bunch of liberal deer

I used it in E. Texas. The deer gobbled it up. One time I didn't have enough bags to fill 2 feeders so I bought a couple of bags of the best protein the feedstore in Woodville sold so I could top the feeders off. Next time up there, I had a pile of feed under the feeder where the deer picked through and only ate the DD. I never bought anymore except DD. Now that I hunt Sabine NF, I don't feed anymore except corn on my little place inside SNF. But, soon, I'll be moving to Rockport, sell the land up near Milam, and get a lease in S.Texas('cept my wife wants to buy a small hunting place instead). I will then feed DD again. I swear by it and I don't have any skin in the game.

It’s a convenience thing for me. I pick up a pallet of DD on the way to the lease and fill a couple of feeders then I run to George west and get another pallet of protein at L&E and finish fillng the other feeders. I cant say they eat it any better than L&E because all the feeders are usually empty in 3 or 4 weeks when I go back.Comment
