My wife found this turtle on the sidewalk outside her office in Katy, TX. Anybody know what kind of turtle it is?

Yup. Take it home and put it in a shallow dish with water n dirt for the kids... They'll eat lettuce n other greens n veggies... pretty cool little critters and not likely to bit the kids either.... When I was a boy, Perry Bro's. in Lufkin had 'em for sale for a buck a piece...

I know that’s right . I have killed 1000’s of them when I was younger . Kinda outgrew killing everything that’s moves .
