South Texas Hunters Thread 2020

We took another great deer this past week. Buddy from Montana came down to enjoy the
S Tx brush country. One of the most symmetrical bucks I have seen. Only 1/8” difference after total measurements between sides.

I'm headed down Friday for a 9 day stint.

I don't think they're rutting where I'm at just yet but we should be getting close. My luck it'll kick off towards the end of my week and when I return they'll be broke up.

After a low start at my place with hardly any movement, this past three days lots of activity and deer were moving. Good sightings in the morning hunts after this Saturday and during the afternoon they started moving early at around 3 pm. It should get pretty interesting in about a week.

2Weeks ago my daughter killed her first 22" 8pt and I killed my first in a few years

They were moving around and then went back to hiding

Getting closer and closer to the Looking for Love Season.

Young bucks were pushing does around this weekend in McMullen co where we hunt shouldn’t be long

I think that's only the 2nd time I've seen a LDP with the bolt open this season.

Most have the rifle laid across the animal with barrel pointed straight at a person

Off until the 20th and just rolled in.

Going to hunt until I see something worth shooting or have to go home. Forecast looks like I should've brought my golf clubs and play a round or two.

170 we took off our ranch low fence ranch in Webb county. Beams are deceiving
And great mass. All that protein and Cottonseed is paying off.
