I am not Catholic but I don't understand why anyone would want to put anyone else down for following their heart in service to God. All kinds of rituals in different Christian churches that other denominations do not follow but if it brings them closer to god you should roll with it and let them do their own thing in peace.

Anyone can use it. Just simply go to https://www.second.org/lent/ and follow along. Today is Day 1. Today's focus is Do You Love God... Please, come follow along each day from now until Easter!
Thank you for sharing Charlie. This is a great way to look at what Jesus did for us... I'm thankful he gave his life for our sins and showed us the resurrection from the grave that eternal life may one day be ours if we believe Jesus Christ is our savior. I believe...

In the past, I gave up carbonated drinks. It took three years of doing that to finally lose the urge. This year, cussing. This has proven to be not as easy as skipping Diet Coke. .... not Catholic, Protestant.

This could lead to an interesting debate about Sola Scriputra vs. Prima Scriputra vs. Sacred Scripture/Sacred Tradition.

IMO - Because it is the nature of some people to put others down or show that the way they think is better than others.

And why can't people keep their negative opinions to themselves? I am catholic but, I am not going to put down another religion because of what they believe in or for what they celebrate or not. I observe Lent because I was raised catholic and that is my faith and what I believe in.
