    Home Surround Sound Questions?

I’m looking for speakers for 3 areas of my house and haven’t looked at home speakers in almost 10 years.
I’m wanting the best budget speaker with the best sound but don’t plan on spending 10k for just speakers.

Currently I plan on having a Klipsch sound bar in my living room with two rear ceiling mounted speakers.
What size speakers would you do the rears 6.5 or 8’s? It’s good size room that is 35x26 and flows into my kitchen.

The second place is my patio that’s 35x15 and I have 4 drops going out there. I planned on doing in ceiling mounted for a cleaner look and centering on the patio just for volume not so much surround sound. I’ll have two 75 inch TV’s on the back porch one over the fireplace and the other facing my outside kitchen. Would regular speakers be ok outside in the ceiling or should I get on outdoor rated speaker?

The 3rd place is my bonus room that is 38x17 and will have surround sound 7:1 or whatever the new technology is. Tv will be on the 17 foot wide all with surround sound being setup in that area of the bonus room. Should I do two in wall speakers to the left and right of the center then speakers to the rear or all ceiling upstairs?

The main things I’m looking for are size speakers, brands, and indoor outdoor speakers.

$200 to $500 a speaker is where I want to stay budget wise.

I put Sonos in my family room, exercise room and patio and have been really pleased. I used their outdoor speakers on my patio despite them being completely covered and no chance at getting direct water.

Sonos has been the best investment of this type that I've made.

        Go with 8s.
You put 6s in a study or bathroom.
You don't need outdoor rated speakers for in ceiling on the patio.
        Media should be a 7.2 not 7.1.
I would use some Aim8-5s in your situation.
Not sure what those are running right now, but probably close to $500.

The most important thing is picking the speakers so the holes I will have precut will fit when I put them in.

I’m looking to mount my living room and patio speakers now and leaving holes in the ceiling for when I sell my house to finish the bonus room.
