Rams and Goats are always good off season practice and the meat is **** good! Ground in to sausage and burger is excellent. Best sliders I've ever had.

We haven’t had anyone brave enough to eat it yet... when we’ve caped our for hunters the meat looks pretty good. I guess you have to ignore the smell.

I’ll take them off your hands if you ever have excess meat.

Are you 100% adversed to hunting during the summer, I tend to spend a few weeks in Del Rio during the summers.

It just depends on what the rams do... 2 years ago they stayed around into June-July, last year they left early May. Shoot me a PM when you think you will be in Del Rio and I can let you know if we still have them around.

As one of the other comments said... this is a great hunt for offseason practice, preparation for a mule deer, elk, any spot and stalk hunt in the fall or just for a target rich environment to get a trophy!!

I will try to run a live thread next weekend to go through a play by play of the hunt to give everyone a little more info on how the Hunt happens...

We had a couple of herds of those things running around our lease and the lease next door. We've been killing the crap outta them and the feral mouflon/barbado sheep.

Dang. If I want hunting Hawaii and Laguna Atascosa in March and April I would book in a heartbeat. I’m going to have to remember to book for next year.
