I will say this also. I have eaten no telling how many pounds of catfish out of lake conroe and lake Livingston since I was a kid. I have eaten some that were really fishy cooked by other peoole at church cookouts and so on. I honestly believe the way you clean and prep your fish before freezing has 99% to do with the fishy taste including washing it out good and cutting out the blood line.Last edited by hogslayer78; 02-17-2020, 07:11 PM.

Blue Cat if caught from cooler clear water.
Yellow Cat but not big like the one above. I caught two about 45 # same day. Both were rubbery and not very good. Did eat them but nothing like a good ole 12#.
Walleye is superb (and hard to find in Texas)
Crappy. lot of work but worth it!
