    Any crow decoy help?

Any of you callers out there ever use decoys for crows? If so, do you have any DYI decoys?

I got bored today and set out my FX3 playing a crow call. Had a ton of crows come in but none that landed. Figure I need a decoy or few out there to get 'em on the ground in bow range.

    Thanks

I use dead crows as deeks...just throw them in the trees and they come right in

Owl decoy and a wounded crow works best around here

Didn't have any trouble getting them in, just getting them on the ground. I haven't set up any flu flu's so I didn't wanna go flingin $20 arrows in the air

I have seen some made with wire coat hangers and black tape. Just wondering if anyone had tried any DYI ones.

I had wondered how well an owl would work.

Make sure you shoot the very first crow, sounds funny but the first one is a look out. I usually shoot the first one and spread its wings out on the ground about a few feet away from were I sit at. Make sure that you are camoed up well. Good luck

Gonna try some wire coat hanger decoys tomorrow if all goes well. I also just found what is supposed to be the be all end call sequence for yotes and fox........... may have to give that a go also.

We use to tie a piece of black cloth or plastic on a low limb or bush and pull it with some fishing line to make it look like a wounded crow. We used "Death cry of a crow" it worked pretty well but like stated above you got to kill the first one or the gig is up.
A wounded crow on the ground is the best decoy.
