Put a diamondback bed cover on it and you’ll be able to put coolers and other stuff on top and pack the bed with bags and cases. Added bonus is the ability to lock the cover for those gas station stops while loaded down with expensive gear

This! I love mine, and plenty of room for a lease trip for me and my son. If I take the whole fam, I use my Ram.

how much room are in the back seats of them? I have a 9 year old that would ride back there occasionally when we don't use my wife SUV.

For a kid not in a car seat it's plenty. Kid in a car seat.....very tight in the crew cab model. In the access cab it not a whole lot for either.
